The Act establishes the Kakamega County Investment and Development Agency as a legal personality, charged with borrowing money and making investments, taking/purchasing or acquiring or disposing movable and immovable property, entering into contracts, etc. Essentially, the Agency is to make strategic investments on behalf of the County, to promote economic growth within the County. The Act further provides for a Board to administer the Agency and provides for the composition of the Board. The Agency may undertake investment ventures in partnership with other entities for the benefit of the County. Full text English
