The Corporation is established as a legal personality and granted extensive legal capabilities. Among others, the Corporation is charged with engaging in commercial rearing and breeding of dairy livestock; create a ready market for dairy farmers; develop and maintain a milk processing plant in the county; undertake and promote research in the field of dairy farming; and promote in the setting up of dairy training facilities. The Act further provides for a Board to run the day-to-day management of the Corporation and the composition of the Board. The Corporation may enter into partnerships with any person in order to effectively carry out its functions subject to approval by the executive committee. Full text English
