Abstract

This Law is enacted to boost sustainable economic development of Kaduna State in it national, regional, state and city perspectives, enhance social development relating to poverty reduction, social well being, cohesion and equity, improve land administration which hinges on reform of physical planning and community participation in planning processes, etc. The Law gives the government the right to remove, modify, restructure or reconstruct any existing structure, building or facility so as to make it conform to the master plan. The Law vests power in the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Agency to ensure compliance with the master plan. The Master Plan is provided for in the schedule to the Law and the Law provides for the revision of the Master Plan every ten years.
