Abstract This Joint Resolution creates the fauna management category called Wild Fauna Support Center (CAFS). CAFS is a place designed to receive, identify, mark, screen, evaluate and dispose of wild animals from inspection, rescue, release, etc. by private individuals, until they can be transferred to a regularized enterprise with IAP, or when the rehabilitation process can be made possible, reintroducing the animal to nature. CAFS differs from Wild Animal Screening Centers (CETAS) and Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centers (CRAS) in that they are: a) Simplified structure, not having the obligation of a medical clinic equipped to attend complex clinical procedures, such as surgeries and postoperative recovery, always acting in partnership with Hospitals or Veterinary Clinics, CETAS and/or CRAS; b) Simplified structure, not having the obligation to adopt procedures for the rehabilitation of animals, acting, for this purpose, always in partnership with CETAS, CRAS and/or Wild Animal Rehabilitation Areas (ARAS) registered with the IAP.
