Abstract

The Regulation sets forth the veterinary and sanitary requirements for milk and dairy produce (except for industrially produced commodities) that are traded directly by the subjects of entrepreneurial activity (dairy enterprises, public catering) and at markets. The Regulation shall be compulsory for institutions, organizations and enterprises irrespectively of the form of property, and for natural persons that own animals, that carry out activities in the field of turnover of milk and dairy products. Milk and dairy products originating from farms where infectious animal disease is absent as confirmed by veterinary certificate shall be authorized for internal trade. Milk and dairy products shall comply with food safety standards as set forth by normative technical and normative legal acts. Trade and use as foodstuff of milk and dairy products not complying with quality and safety standards currently in force shall be prohibited. Use as foodstuff of milk containing prohibited hormones and with the contents of chemicals of natural and anthropogenic origin, including pesticides, herbicides and radioactive nuclides exceeding the established standards shall be prohibited. Milk and dairy products destined for trade at markets shall be subject to compulsory veterinary inspection with the subsequent issue of veterinary certificate.
