Abstract

This Joint Order, consisting of 87 articles divided into six Titles and several Annexes, approves the Coastal Zone and Adjacent Sea Territorial Planning (POOCM) on the island of Boa Vista, under the terms of Decree-Law No. 43/2010 of 27 September on the National Regulation of Territorial and Urban Planning (RNOTPU) and Decree-Law No. 14/2016 of 1 March, regulating the process of preparing and implementing the Territorial Plans for the Coastal Zone and the Adjacent Sea. The POOC_M's scope of intervention covers, on the island of Boa Vista, a land area and an adjacent maritime area, according to article 16. This POOC_M is a territorial management instrument of a special and regulatory nature under the terms established in article 63 of Decree-Law No. 43/2010 of 27 September, as amended. The POOC_M of Boa Vista has as its main objective the integrated management of the territory and the coastal zone, establishing rules to which the occupation, use and transformation of the land covered by its scope and the regime for the protection of natural resources and values must obey.
