Abstract

The Regulation consists of 4 Sections dealing with the following matters: 1) general provisions (sect. 1); 2) diagnostics of poultry aspergillosis (sect. 2); 3) arrangements in case of diagnosis of poultry aspergillosis (sect. 3); 4) prophylaxis of poultry aspergillosis. The present Regulation establishes the modalities of carrying out preventive arrangements with the aim of prevention of poultry disease at the farm of various forms of ownership. The Regulation specifies veterinary and sanitary arrangements must be undertaken in case of outbreak of aspergillosis, the further utilization of eggs and meat obtained after emergency slaughtering of ill poultry that shall be compulsory for all poultry farmers. Section 1 gives the description of the symptoms of poultry aspergillosis and establishes the modalities of verification thereof. Section 2 establishes the modalities of diagnosis of poultry aspergillosis on the basis of epizootic data, clinical symptoms, pathological and anatomical alteration and laboratory research and analysis. Fresh carcases of poultry and fodder samples must be sent to a laboratory for analysis. Section 3 establishes that quarantine must be imposed on poultry farm in which aspergillosis has been exposed and registered. Displacement of poultry, equipment, fodder between different sections, and transport of eggs and poultry to other farms for incubation and integration of small livestock shall be prohibited. Section 4 establishes the following preventive arrangements: 1) poultry feeding with high quality-quality fodder; 2) sanitary inspection of fodder and litter; 3) appropriate storage of fodder and fodder additives preventing the infection by Aspergillus fungus; 4) disinfection and disinfestations of poultry farms; 5) prevention of the propagation of shrubbery and weeds.
