Abstract

This Regulation establishes the procedure for preparation and registration of animals for scientific research purposes and to regulate the relationship between science and technology development in Mongolia. Identification of animals shall be intended application of marks, ear tags, microchips, acoustic devices and other means of identification to animals. Scientific purposes shall be intended research related to biology, ecology, monitoring, and control of disease distribution and spreading, and behavior of animals. National Institute of Biology shall be appointed authorized state institution for receipt and examination of requests related to identification and registration of animals destined for scientific research purposes and keeping database thereof accessible to national and international professional teams of experts, organizations, scientists and researchers.
