Abstract This Joint Norm, consisting of 19 articles and four Annexes, establishes criteria and procedures for modifying the formulation of pesticides and related products. In particular, it establishes the guidelines and requirements for the registration of agrochemicals, their components and similar substances for crops with insufficient plant protection, as well as the maximum residue limit allowed. The Maximum Residue Limit (MRLs) and the Safety Interval must be established for representative crops in each group and may be provisionally assigned to other crops of the group by meeting specific requirements. The Norm establishes requirements and duration of Provisional and Final MRLs (specified in Annex I - Table 2). The Annexes deal with Plant Crops Grouping for MRLs obligations, Model forms to submit a request to the Ministry of Agriculture, and Pesticides Residues. Full text Portuguese Website www.ibama.gov.br
