Abstract

This Joint Ministerial Decision establishes the Introduction, Intra-Community Acquisition and Domestic Production of Fertilizers and related Raw Materials. It specifies the conditions for granting authorization to import fertilizers from third countries, interested parties must: a) lawfully be engaged in the marketing of A or B fertilizers in the country; b) fertilizer to be introduced meets the specifications: (aa) the types of fertilizers labeled "EC fertilizer" in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EC) No. 2003/2003 (OJ L 304), as applicable, or bb) comply with the provisions of Article 49 of Law No. 4235/2014 (A32) as applicable, as well as the decisions that are delegated in cases (b) and (c) of paragraph 1 of article 13b of Law 1565/85 (A 164) on Fertilizers. The necessary documents for granting a license to import fertilizers from third countries are: A) Application form with the following information: (aa) Full business identity; (bb) Production and marketing company, country of production, country of origin of the product; (cc) Type of fertilizer, trade name; (dd) Characteristic of the type of fertilizer; (bb) part b of paragraph 1 of this Article; (ee) Quantity, unit of measure and type of packaging; (ff) point of entry, place of storage and sampling. B) Original or exact copy of the certificate of qualitative and quantitative analysis of the product or marketing company translated into Greek, indicating the method of analysis, the grain composition or heavy metal content (where applicable). In addition, it specifies the requiremetns to import fertilizers from third countries and obtain an intra-Community acquisition.
