The Decision enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Decision takes the necessary measures to implement the provisions of Article 26 of Regulation No. 1169/2011, Regulation No. 1337/2013, Article 18 of Regulation No 178/2002, Regulation No. 931/2011 and Regulation No. 882/2004, on the traceability and labelling of meat and the official controls on the meat market. The provisions of this Decision shall apply to prepackaged or non-prepackaged, chilled and frozen meat of pigs, sheep and goats, poultry, minced meat, and other edible parts. It applies to meat preparations and meat products other than those relating to the final labelling of Article 4; It also applies to: slaughtering animals originated from the territory or other EU Member States or third countries, dealing with the marketing, movement, slicing, processing and standardization of meat; retail sale of meat, such as butchers and retailers. The meat intended for delivery to the final consumer or to mass catering establishments shall be labelled in accordance with the provisions of EU Regulation No. 1169/2011 and EU Regulation No. 1337/2013.
