Abstract

These Instructions classify veterinary, biological and chemical materials in accordance with Commodity Nomenclature for External Trade in 7 categories: 1) living micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, fungi), pathogenic agents injurious to the animals; pathological materials; 2) endocrine glands and animal blood; 3) veterinary vaccines; 4) immunological serums produced with animal blood; 5) diagnostic medicines; 6) pharmaceutical remedies for veterinary purposes; 7) wildlife products and collections used for animal paleontology and anatomy. Import to and export from the Russian Federation of the above-mentioned products is permitted only with a written permission of the Chief Veterinary Department of the Ministry of Agriculture. The commodities specified in these Instructions are liable to obligatory veterinary control. Customs officers are obliged to put stamps on these goods specifying "Subject to veterinary control".
