They, among other things: prescribe definitions and descriptions for certain specified jam products, which may be used only if certain conditions set out in the Schedule are met; restrict the use of reserved descriptions to the specified jam and similar products to which they relate; prescribe labelling requirements for such products; make provision in relation to residual sulphur dioxide; impose an obligation on district councils to enforce the Regulations; apply certain provisions of the Food Safety (Northern Ireland) Order 1991.
