Abstract

This Act, consisting of 75 sections divided into twelve Parts, confers powers upon waterworks undertakers appointed for purposes of this Act, provide for their duties and rights, and for other rights in relation to irrigation. For the purposes of the special Act, the undertakers may buy water in bulk from any water authority or other person. Upon the request of any person entitled under section 23 to demand a supply of water to his land, the undertakers shall make or do a communication channel and other necessary works for such a supply. Other matters relating to irrigation works and water supply by undertakers are provided for such as rates, protection of water by users, meters, mapping of waterworks constructions, etc.
