This Order appoints for a prescribed period of ten years the National Irrigation Commission Limited as the Irrigation Authority. The Commission shall be responsible for the implementation of provisions of the Act for all irrigation areas and restricted areas. Revenues derived from irrigation charges and drainage charges in relation to reclamation of land or the use of any watercourse shall be received by the Commission in the prescribed period and applied to functions assigned to the Commission by this Order. Subject to provisions of the Act, the Commission may enter into a contract for the management and operation of specified irrigation works.
