Abstract

This Order, made under section 62 of the Irrigation Act, stipulates that during the prescribed period every prescribed Authority shall be divested of the functions conferred on it under the Act and those functions shall, during that period, be vested in the National Irrigation Commission Limited. The Order also provides for the transfer of responsibility and the vesting of assets and liabilities of the prescribed authorities in the Commission.
