The Minister shall appoint Commissioners for Irrigation for defined areas (sect. 3). The Commissioner shall within that area be responsible for the construction, improvement and maintenance of irrigation works and establishment and administration of irrigated cultivation (sect. 4). Land may be declared to be an irrigation area. Such areas shall be managed by officers appointed by the Commissioner (sects. 6 and 7). Agricultural holdings may adjusted for purposes of irrigation (sect. 8). Adjustment does not affect ownership. (31 sections) Full text English Website www.paclii.org
