Abstract

This Interstate Standard specifies requirements for the warning labelling of chemical products, as well as to its application. This standard does not apply to: (a) finished medicinal products; and (b) - finished perfumery and cosmetic products. Transport marking of chemical products must comply with the requirements of national and interstate standards, transportation rules applicable for a particular type of transport, including the UN Model Regulations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (ST / SG / AC. 10/1). If the shipping container is both industrial and consumer, then on it apply both transport and warning markings (Appendix A, example 1). The warning label should contain: (a) identification data of chemical products (name and designation of products, including the trade name, data on the composition of the product and other data that allow to unambiguously distinguish specific chemical products from other chemical products circulating on the market); (b) information about the organization (person) - manufacturer or supplier, including contact details for emergency calls; (c) description of the hazard (mandatory elements of the hazard description in the warning marking are: danger sign, signal word, hazard statement); (d) measures to prevent danger; (e) details of the batch of products; and (f) an indication that more complete information on the safe handling of chemical products is contained in the safety data sheet.
