Abstract

This Act gives effect to the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships ad the Protocol relating to the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Provisions of the Convention and the Protocol set out in the First and Schedules to this Act, shall: (a) have the force of law in Nigeria; (b) be given full recognition and effect; and (c) be applied by all authorities and persons exercising legislative, executive and judicial powers.
