Abstract

This Interministerial Norm, consisting of 16 articles and 1 Annex, provides for requirements to fish specific fish species in coastal gillnet, such as: Bluefish (Pomatomus saltatrix), Whitemouth croaker (Micropogonias furnieri), Stripped weakfish (Cynoscion guatucupa), Argentine croaker (Umbrina canosai) and Brazilian codling (Urophycis brasiliensis) performed in Southeast and South Brazilian coasts. It specifies criteria and standards to fish the above mentioned fish species through the use of specific fishing methods within the coastal areas of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. It lays down the requirements to be met in order to allow National fishing vessels, within the above mentioned areas, transport, storage and fishing through gillnet duly authorized to perform the specified fish species catching.
