The boundaries of the said marine area shall be comprised between the coast and the line joining the points referred to in the planimetry attached. The marine area is established with a view to protecting and preserving the environment, fauna and flora, enhancing research initiatives and the knowledge of biology of marine environments. Article 4 lists out the prohibited activities (such as navigation, hunting, professional and sport fishing).
