Abstract

These Regulations, made under the Water Authority Act, provide rules for water supply by the Authority. The Authority may restrict supply of water for specified purposes, i.e. for repair or non-authorized behaviour of the consumer. The Act defines offences of wastage of water and wilful misuse of water. The Regulations, furthermore, among other things, prescribe rates of water charges and provide the Authority with powers to protect watercourses.
