Abstract This Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) is a nationwide sectoral document developed by the Government under the UNFCCC aiming at enhancing the adaptive capacity and resilience of agriculture, environment, and population to climate change, while developing and implementing Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS). This INDC is also in line with the Afghanistan’s vision for addressing the adverse impacts of climate change through adaptation that aims to protect the country and its population by enhancing adaptive capacity and resilience, effectively respond to the vulnerabilities of critical sectors, and efficiently mainstream climate change considerations into national development policies, strategies, and plans.
