Abstract This Act lays down provisions on the establishment, composition, functions, powers and independence of the Integrity Commission; the duties of the Secretary of the Commission; obligation for every person in public life to declare their financial affairs; powers and findings of the Tribunal; offences and penalties; investigation of and penalties for the breach of the Code of Conduct; obligation to report gifts to the Commission; and miscellaneous provisions. Part VI of this Act sets out rules for the offences of bribery and other acts of corruprion, and penalties. The functions of the Commission are listed in Article 9, including: to inquire into any allegation of bribery or act of corruption under this Act, without prejudice to the provisions of any other enactment.
