Abstract

This Act lays down provisions on the establishment, composition, functions, powers and independence of the Integrity Commission; obligation for every person in public life to declare their affairs; penalties for the breach of the Code of Conduct; obligation to report gifts; the secretary and staff of the Commission; offences and penalties; and the power of the Commission to make rules. The persons in public life are listed in the First Schedule. The functions of the Commission are listed in Article 12, such as: to receive and investigate complaints regarding non-compliance with or contravention of any provisions of this Act or the Prevention of Corruption Act, and to conduct an investigation into any offence of corruption under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
