Abstract These Instructions consisting of 8 articles aim at establishing rules for export of horses. Conditions to export male horses are provided for at art.1., including registration, prices, number of heads, conditions for export of female horses. A committee shall be formed by order of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform in order to ensure compliance with the outward specifications, and the pricing of male horses intended for export (art.2). Article 3 lists the necessary certificates and their respective bodies of competence. Rules to submit an application for exporting male horses are provided for at article 4 and it shall be submitted to the General Directorate of Livestock. Conditions to be met by Customs authorities at Iraqi border to authorize the transfer of male horses intended for export are provided for at article 5.
