Abstract

Bothriocephalus opsariichthydis and bothriocephalus acheilognathi, that parasitize in the front section of fish intestine cause bothriocephaluses that is fish invasion disease. Bothriocephalus is diffused in pond and hatchery establishments at cooling water reservoirs attached to thermo-electric and nuclear power stations and in natural water basins. Bothriocephaluses were found in 26 fishes of carp species, salmonides (char) and some carnivorous fishes (sheatfish, sander). The document consists of 5 Secs. Section 1 lays down general provisions. Section 2 regards epizootology. Section 3 defines clinical symptoms and pathologo-anatomical changes. Section 4 regards diagnosis. Section 5 specifies arrangements for combating the afore-mentioned fish disease.
