Abstract

The Instruction consists of 5 Sections dealing with the following matters: 1) general provisions (sect. 1); 2) terms and definitions (sect. 2); 3) the modalities of carrying out immunogenetic control (sect. 3); 4) analysis of immunogenetic data (sect. 4); 5) control of the origin of pedigree livestock (sect. 5). The present Instruction establishes the modalities of carrying out immunogenetic control in stockbreeding that shall be the integral part of the genetic expertise of the origin and abnormalities of pedigree livestock. Immunogenetic control is a complex of arrangements with the application of immunogenetic methods in the field of pedigree stockbreeding. The purpose of immunogenetic control shall be the determination of the adequacy of data on the origin of pedigree livestock that is established in conformity with blood groups, creation of the information database for the application of genetic markers in the field of pedigree stockbreeding. Immunogenetic control shall be carried out once in lifetime of the animals. Blood from cattle shall be obtained through puncture of the jugular vein. For the determination of blood groups of all agricultural animals monospecific serum-reagent and suspension of erythrocytes shall be used. Processing of immunogenetic data shall be based upon hereditary analysis the main purpose of which shall be to determine allele and to establish genotype of single animals. Hereditary analysis can be complete and incomplete depending upon the available information on maternal, paternal and descendants’ blood types.
