Abstract

The Regulation consists of 5 Sections dealing with the following matters: 1) general provisions (sect. 1); 2) terms and definitions (sect. 2); 3) organization of DNA-diagnostics (sect. 3); 4) determination of genotype of livestock (sect. 4); 5) legalization of the outcome of DNA-diagnostics of pedigree livestock (sect. 5). The present Instruction establishes the modalities of carrying out DNA-diagnostics of pedigree livestock as an integral part of genetic expertise of the origin and aperiodicities of pedigree livestock. DNA-diagnostics shall be carried out once in the lifetime of livestock. Veterinary experts at farms shall be entitled with the task of taking samples of biological material for DNA-diagnostics. Samples of biological materials for DNA-diagnostics shall include blood, sperm and plucks of hair taken from ear of the animals. The results of DNA-diagnostics of swine and cattle shall be legalized in the form of the protocol.
