Abstract

This Instruction shall be binding on all state veterinary inspection units at slaughtering enterprises, meat processing enterprises and storage facilities for meat and meat-based products. In the process of slaughtering of cattle and poultry, state veterinary inspectors shall register the number and type of exposed animal diseases. Following sanitary tests, discarded material shall be placed in special water resistant metal containers bearing the inscription “Confiscated veterinary products for recycling”. Discarded meat and meat-based products shall be recycled and reused as animal feedstuffs. Conclusions in duplicate shall be issued following testing of animal products, specifying the grounds for their being discarded. Meat, meat-based products and carcasses of animals deemed unfit for recycling and subsequent reuse shall be destroyed. The Instruction contains the form of conclusion of sanitary inspection.
