Abstract

The purpose of this Instruction is to regulate the limits on caesium-134, caesium-137 and strontium-90 in animal feed and feed additives for all animal and poultry species, whether imported into or manufactured on the territory of the Russian Federation. Radioactive pollution of animal feed shall be controlled in accordance with the methodical instructions issued by the Ministry of Agriculture. The state veterinary service may prohibit the import and/or use of animal feed or additives that contain excessive levels of radionuclides.
