Abstract

This Law provides for the establishment of the Institution Of Tourism, Catering And Hotel Management, defines its objectives, functions and powers and provides with respect to its administration. The Institute is established as a body corporate and shall be charged with the responsibility of conducting quality academic and professional research, education, training, consultancy and advocacy on travel, tourism, hotel, catering, culture, entertainment and hospitality studies. It shall, among other things, assist and advise the Bayelsa State Government in developing laws and policies relating to the conservation and protection of wildlife, the environment and the eco system. The Institute shall act as a centre for planning, strategic development and policy formulation in the areas of competence.
