Abstract

This Act provides for the participation of private sector in financing the construction, development, operation, or maintenance of infrastructure of development projects of the Federal Government through concession or contractual arrangements. It establishes the infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, which function it shall be to regulate, monitor and supervise the contracts on infrastructure or development projects. Infrastructure or development projects shall regard, among other things: seaports, canals, dams, hydroelectric power projects, water supply, irrigation, land reclamation projects, environmental remediation and clean-up projects, solid wastes management, sewerage, drainage, dredging,
