Abstract This Act establishes two public agencies, Infrastructure Australia and the Infrastructure Coordinator, defines its functions and powers and provides with respect to their organization. Infrastructure Australia has the primary function of providing advice to the Minister, Commonwealth, State, Territory and local governments, investors in infrastructure and owners of infrastructure on matters relating to infrastructure. It shall also provide advice on infrastructure policy issues arising from climate change and carry out various functions relating to development and monitoring of nationally significant infrastructure, including energy infrastructure and water infrastructure.
