An Industrial Standards Council shall be established within the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy. The Council shall deliberate on the following matters and provide advice to the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy: Matters necessary for the formulation, amendment, and abolition of industrial standards under Article 5; Matters necessary for confirmation as to whether industrial standardization is appropriate under Article 10; Matters concerning designation of mining and manufacturing products under Article 15; Matters concerning designation of services under Article 16; Other matters related to industrial standardization determined by Presidential Decree.
