Abstract

The present Regulations are made under the Indian Act. The Regulations provide for disposition of reserve minerals and attempts to help First nations to develop and manage their own mineral resources by assisting them to maximize the benefits, ensuring prudent and safe mining management and promoting good environmental stewardship.
