Abstract This National Renaissance Project is a nationwide multi-sectoral document aiming at the development of the Kingdom of Jordan based on the Jordanian human being as the goal and foundation of this development or, in other words, the human State, as it is called. This human State is based on three pillars (1) the State of Law that aims to consolidate the principle of the rule of law and enhance the rights and duties of the Jordanian human being on the ground; (2) the production State which aims to unleash the energies of the Jordanian human being to achieve a decent life; and (3) the State of solidarity that preserves the dignity of the Jordanian human being by improving the public services and social protection systems. Since everyone is a partner in the realization of this national project, the Government’s vision to reach the state of law, production and solidarity will only be achieved through complementarity and true partnership with everyone. Therefore, the Government will launch parallel dialogues on the three pillars of the project, including the provincial councils, the political forces of all shades, and the sector private and civil society organizations. Strategic objectives under the three pillars are (1) State of Law: (i) develop political life and safeguard public freedoms; (ii) fight corruption and promote transparency and integrity; (iii) promote decentralization; (iv) empower the judiciary and enhance its role; (v) strengthen the power of law; (vi) promote national culture and active citizenship; (2) State of production (i) growth through entrepreneurship and trade; (ii) growth through investment and the advancement of economic sectors that characterize Jordan; (iii) 30,000 additional productive and decent job opportunities; (iv) home service program; (v) economic and financial stability; (vi) efficiency of the public sector; (3) State of solidarity (i) expand the scope of social protection; (ii) develop public education outcomes; (iii) improve the standard of health care; (iv) develop public transport system; (v) create affordable housing; (vi) focus on environment and citizen safety.
