Abstract

This Ordinance, in compliance with a number of European Community Directives (listed down in the text), lays down the minimum quality requirements which certain agricultural products should meet in order to qualify for food processing and disposal onto market. In particular, Annex I sets forth the minimum quality requirements for tomato-based products, Annex II deals with minimum quality requirements for Williams and Rocha pears, Annex III deals with minimum quality requirements for peaches in syrup and peaches in natural fruit juice, Annex IV deals with prunes, Annex V regards the characteristics of dried figs, Annex VI regards the cultivation of grapes to produce certain varieties of dried grapes, Annex VII regards the minimum marketing characteristics for certain varieties of dried grapes, Annex VIII deals with certain citrus fruits.
