This Order enters into force on 25 May 2005.
Abstract

This Order controls the export from New Zealand of living modified organisms. It shall be prohibited to export living modified organisms unless Ministerial consent is obtained. The consent of the Minister shall be subject to certain conditions which depend on the purpose of the export, as required by the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety 2000 (arts. 5-8).
