Abstract

These Regulations, made under section 3 of the Import Control Regulations Act, prohibit the importation of animals (as defined by the Animal Contagious Diseases Act), plant (as defined by the Plants Protection Act) or food (as defined by the Food Act) into The Bahamas except under and in accordance with a written licence issued by the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries acting as competent authority for the administration and enforcement of these Regulations. Food, plant or animal imported into The Bahamas in contravention of these Regulations or of any term or condition attached to a licence may be seized by the competent authority.
