Abstract

These Regulations implement for Scotland Commission Decision 2007/588/EC concerning certain protection measures against foot-and-mouth disease in the United Kingdom, by regulating the export of live animals, meat, semen, ova or embryos of animals of the bovine, ovine, caprine and porcine species and other biungulates, meat products, milk and dairy products, hides and skins and various animal products. They regulate: the importation to, dispatch from, transit through, and export from Scotland of live animals, the export of meat from bovine, ovine, caprine, porcine and other biungulate animals, the export of meat originating from animals reared outside Great Britain, the export of meat products, milk and dairy products, the export of semen, ova or embryos of bovine, ovine, caprine, porcine and other biungulate animals, the export of hides and skins, and the export of various animal products.
