Abstract

This Regulation consisting of 60 articles attributes the responsibility to implement the Pesticides Act in Kuwait to the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources. Article 8 of this Regulation prohibits the registration of agricultural pesticides high-risk/high toxicity (listed in Annex 1) unless it is proved the lack of other alternatives of low toxicity. Annex 2 contains the list the Maximum Residual Levels (MRL's) allowable on agricultural products processed with agricultural pesticides. Annex 3a deals with the pesticide data card, Annex 3g deals with rules for transfer, mixing and disposal of pesticides.
