Entry into force notes
The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 2012.
Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Foodstuff and Veterinary Law of 30 May 2007. In particular, article 1 establishes that the Governing Council is entrusted with the enforcement of the afore-mentioned federal legislation. The text consists of 26 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: Organization and competences (I); Animal protection (II); Legislation on foodstuff (III); Financing of animal disease control (IV); Veterinaries and veterinary medicine (V); Final provisions (VI).
