The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 1998.
Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Introductory Law relating to the Federal Law on protection of waters of 27 January 1997. The text consists of 45 articles divided into 11 Parts as follows: Tasks of cantonal authorities (I); Survey of basic situation, water monitoring and information (III); Maintenance of waters and waste water disposal (III); Groundwater protection (IV); Urban drainage and sewerage (VI); Water protection in agriculture, soil protection (VII); Assessment of damage and water protection police (VIII); Handling of hazardous liquids (IX); Financing (X); Final provisions (XI).
