Artisanal and sport fishing and catch of aquatic animals and plants for personal consumption shall be authorized to all citizens free of charge in common general use waterbodies, except for protected areas, fishfarming waterbodies and ponds. Organization of artisanal and sport fishing shall be carried out by natural and legal persons in accordance with special permits-licences, including fishing licences, issued by regional executive bodies of fishing inspection. Citizens carrying out artisanal and sport fishing must be in possession of personal identity card and, in cases when fishing must be carried out in accordance with fishing permit – be in possession of such fishing permit. Underwater hunting (spearfishing) shall be classified as a form of artisanal fishing and shall be authorized without the use of self contained breathing apparatus in the parts of waterbodies established by fishing inspection. The total number of fish hooks for one fisherman shall not exceed 5.Authorized total allowable daily catch per fisherman shall be 5 kg of fish species and 50 pieces of crawfish.
