Abstract

This IBAMA Order, consisting of 5 articles, establishes the prohibition to perform trawl-net fishing activity by motor-engine vessels within 10 miles from the Brazilian Territorial Sea between the estuary of Gurupi River and "Ponta das Canárias" (respectively, 46°06' and 41°49' longitude West, in the State of Maranhão. This Order does not apply for motor-engine vessels with power lower than 10 TAB, exclusively authorized and licensed for shrimp fishing "Xiphopenaeus Kroyeri".
