Abstract

These Regulations may be cited as the Hygiene and Official Control of Foodstuffs (Amendment) Regulations of 2011 and shall be read as one with the Hygiene and Official Control of Foodstuffs Regulations of 2006-2007 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Regulations"). The principal Regulations and the present Regulations shall be read as one and will be referred to as the Hygiene and Official Control of Foodstuffs Regulations of 2006-2011. The regulations are issued with the aim of better implementing paragraph 2, article 6 to Regulation (EC) No. 852/2004 on the hygiene of foodstuffs, as last amended by Regulation (EC) No 219/2009. Therefore, Regulations 3 and 4 to the principal Regulations are amended as laid down herewith. The first Annex is repealed.
