Abstract

The Demarara Company is hereby empowered to dig and maintain a canal leading from the Hobaboe Creek into the Demarara River and to divert water from the Hobaboe Creek into the canal. The Company may also place dams in the Hobaboe Creek for purposes specified in section 3. Other provisions of the Act lay duties on the Company to construct a bridge, to place sluice kokers, to carry out maintenance and to construct another canal at the request under specified circumstances of the Drainage and Irrigation Board.
