Abstract

These Regulations implement for England Council Regulation (EC) No 1698/2005 and Council Regulation (EC) No 1257/1999 in so far as those Council Regulations relate to less favoured areas, i.e. severely disadvantaged land as defined on specified maps. The Regulations define the conditions of eligibility for hill farm allowance payable in respect of such land used for grazing or which has a forage crop taken from it and provide with respect to calculation of allowance. They also concern holdings partially located outside of England.
