Abstract

This Act makes provision for a system of control on the trade (including exportation) of hides of cattle and skin of calf, goat or sheep. The Act requires buyers licences to be obtained for the purchase for resale or tanning in Uganda of hides and skins and requires hides and skins to be exported through appointed exporting centres and with a valid exporters-buyers licence. Specific conditions may be attached to a licence.
